The Road Trip We’ll Never Forget

Dad decided we needed a "man-to-man" road trip — just him and me.The plan? A straight 4-hour drive to the mountains for camping. Easy, right?Except he forgot to fill the gas tank. And bring a map. And check the weather. 😂
An hour in, we were lost in the middle of nowhere. It started raining, we had no cell signal, and Dad insisted he "knew the way by instinct."Spoiler alert: his instinct led us to a cow pasture instead of the camping site.
We ended up camping inside the car, telling ghost stories, eating stale chips, and laughing until we cried.I wouldn’t trade that disastrous trip for anything — it’s one of my happiest memories with him.Dad always said, "Getting lost just means you find a better story."
