Dad and I were at a bookstore when we saw a teenage boy counting coins nervously. He was trying to buy a second-hand book about engineering. He was short by just a few dollars, and you could see the disappointment in his eyes.
Quietly, Dad picked up the book, paid for it at the counter, and slipped it into the boy’s backpack as he turned to leave. The boy was stunned. Before he could ask anything, Dad simply smiled and said, “Never stop learning.”
That day, I realized that real generosity leaves a mark — not on your hands, but on someone else’s future.
