A campaign-style event featuring former President Donald J. Trump was briefly interrupted Tuesday evening after a young girl in the audience appeared to suffer a medical emergency, prompting immediate action from Dr. Mehmet Oz.
The incident occurred just minutes into Trump’s address at a packed indoor venue, where hundreds had gathered. Witnesses say Trump paused mid-sentence as a commotion broke out several rows from the stage. In a quick and coordinated response, Dr. Oz, who was standing nearby, stepped off the stage and rushed toward the crowd.
Footage from the event shows Dr. Oz kneeling beside the girl, providing initial care until additional medical personnel arrived. The girl, whose identity has not been released, was eventually helped out of the room with assistance from event staff and paramedics.
Trump, visibly concerned, stepped back from the podium as the situation unfolded, observing quietly while the emergency was addressed. Once the girl was safely escorted out, the former president returned to the microphone and briefly commented on the situation, thanking the audience for their calm and cooperation.
“As always, the safety of everyone here is our top priority,” Trump said. “We’re grateful for Dr. Oz and the team who responded so quickly.”
Details about the girl's condition have not yet been disclosed, and it's unclear whether she was transported to a hospital. The White House has not issued an official statement as of this writing.
Dr. Oz, a physician known for his long-running television show and his involvement in politics, has not yet commented publicly on the incident.
The event resumed shortly afterward and continued without further interruption. Attendees applauded both Dr. Oz's quick response and the professionalism of the on-site medical team.
