Dad, The Accidental Lifeguard

One summer afternoon, we decided to visit the local community pool.My dad, a man who can barely swim two strokes, decided he would impress us all by showing "rescue skills."He wore his old high school swim trunks, which, by the way, didn’t quite fit anymore. 😅

While we played around, a little boy slipped and panicked in the shallow end.Without thinking, Dad jumped in, water splashing everywhere — except he forgot to remove his sneakers and phone.He somehow half-swam, half-crawled across the water, grabbed the boy, and dragged him out safely!

Everyone clapped for him like he was a real-life Baywatch hero.Completely soaked and gasping, Dad just said, “All part of the plan.” 😂

We still tease him about how he saved the day… while almost drowning himself!But to me, that day showed what a brave, beautiful soul he truly is.
